In 2008, the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) organised a Responsible Gaming Day that brought together leading public and private sector stakeholders to exchange best practices and developments in the field of responsible gaming. Building upon last year’s highly successful event, EGBA will be organising a second Responsible Gaming Day focusing on Integrity and Sport. The event will be held in Brussels on 17 February 2009 in the European Parliament.

The issue of integrity in gaming remains a top priority for private European online operators, who are committed to continue ensuring a highly secure gaming environment for their customers. The European Parliament’s own-initiative report on the integrity of online gaming reflects the interest in better understanding the various issues at stake in the EU.

The Responsible Gaming Day: Integrity and Sport will provide EU and national decision-makers, academics, sport organisations and senior representatives from the gaming industry with an opportunity to debate the following topics:

Internet: Blessing or Curse In Terms Of Integrity?
Sport And Bookmaking: A Question Of Ethics?
Sport Betting: How To Tackle The Risks?

We look forward to welcoming you at this event, and hope you will participate in a stimulating and productive discussion.
